Dear Family,
It was fun to talk with you on Sunday. Hope you had a fantastic mothers day!
Yesterday, we had our transfer calls. I still have the assignment to stay here in CHelmsford, but Elder Santoro, my Italian compadre, is going to the Watford Zone. It has to be in like some country place. My new companion will be Elder Wing, from Utah. He was in the same group as Elder Santoro.
I have a terrible memory, I probably should start writing in my journal, because i keep on forgetting what happened over the past week.
-One cool thing that happened was when we had a step in with a man named Matt, on a bench beside the river Chelmer. It was great! He is a musician and we shared our beliefs. He travels all the time for music and such, but he said we could pop by his home anytime. He lives right next to the church.
-I also gave another talk. It was on the Book of Mormon! Funny thing is , I had round two of the audio not working. Luckily Maldon Ward is quiet, therefore I did not have to yell.
-We also lifted some weights with a LA. We made a deal, if we came to lift, he would come to church. We lifted last week and he came, and we lifted Yesterday! I am pretty sore right now. I am so out of shape. For all those prospective missionaries, follow the schedule and exercise in the morning. You will not regret it.
-On Sunday, I was also able to see a person I met in Utah a couple years ago. It was good to meet up with him and see how he is doind. His name is Tim and he is from Bristol. Good Times.
I love the Book of Mormon. Every time I read it, something new pops up and the stories are amazing. The great thing about it is, that it is all true. The book contains historical
accounts of living prophets. I strongly encourage you to read this Book every day. I will give you the promise of Joseph Smith, as talked about in the Introduction. As you read, you will get nearer to God. Fact. I testify of it.

Dear family
Thank you for the emails. Seems like you are all having a great time.
I am currently in the apple store because the library is closed, but
its all good. I will email later, but yep, the big marriage was last
week.... This past week, I was able to meet the rudest people I have
ever met. During the wedding, we were street contacting and everyone
was basically plastered. We also knocked on a house the other day and
the lady started yelling at us and then used a bunch of profanity. It
was alright though because she could have gone through something in
the day that was terrible. This is what I get for praying for
christlike attributes. We will be having a baptism this month. I will
update you on that later. I love being a missionary!

Mothers day! I will most likely call before you go to scripps second.

Love,
Elder Resolme

Dear Family,
Wow, branch camping. How was that ? Who went? Tell everyone I say HI!! That is insane. Everyone is getting their mission calls. Kevin-Hawaii. That will suit him well.
This past week has been so sunny?! We have taken off our coats off and I have been getting so dark. The town center and the streets were just crowded with people to talk to. Since holiday is over, there probably will not be as many people today.
I do not know if I told you this yet,but last week, we were walking down the street, and I saw this guy wearing a Filipino jacket. He was pretty far down the street, so I was not going to stop him, but although I had this mentality, we started to walk faster and faster. He turned a corner, and then my companion and I started to sprint after him! I yelled," Excuse me sir, we are missionaries...." but he yelled back " I am busy.." He then kept on walking and I was like what?!?! After a second I yelled something along the lines of "keep on Representing Manny Pacquiao!" He stopped and ran up to us all excited. We spoke with him for about ten minutes and explained who we were and what we did. At the end of the day, he was not really interested in coming to church, but it was a pretty solid experience.
I initially wanted to stop him, but I hesitated until he turned the corner. Because we followed my prompting to later stop him, we were able to plant the seed. Always follow those promptings and do not hesitate. If you do , that opportunity may never come back. Keep in mind the question, "Is this what my Heavenly Father wants me to do?"
Easter was the best. I received so many insights on the Atonement and Yesterday, we played football in the morning. My lower body is shattered, but it was so much fun!
This week is the Royal Wedding. Good gracious, there are so many banners and nick knacks in the town. I cannot wait to proselyte on the wedding day.

Dear family,
One of the things that I love, is teaching! These past couple of days, we have been finding like crazy. We had over thirty hours of finding last week. After each day I was exhausted, but it is so cool. The teaching pool when I got here was basically dead, now it is rising from the dust!!! We had a couple fantastic appointments last week. We also extended many baptismal invitations. We will work with those whom we found to come unto Christ and to gain a stronger understanding on their purpose in life. I remember when it was my first transfer, I was not really able to understand my investigators fully because I only taught. Now that I have grown, I am able to teach to their needs. I know that it has only been a little while, but I am different. It is weird, but great. Studying the scriptures in the morning has really helped me.
Yesterday I also gave a talk. I spoke about my thoughts on general conference. I referred to the talk given by Richard J. Maynes(seventy). He spoke about Christlike traditions. The funny thing about the talk was, that the audio for the chapel was not working. So I was basically yelling at everyone! I felt like a missionary of old on top of a wooden box, teaching to crowds. What a fun experience.
One of the things I need to start doing more, is cooking. The thing is I do not know how to cook Filipino recipes. Send me some please! Yesterday, I also found out that there is one Filipino person in the ward. She is ilocano! I have been talking to a good amount of Filipinos here as well. We will see what happens to them in the near future. Thank you for the e-mails. Keep on doing the things that help you feel the spirit and you will be blessed with happiness. Love each other always. Nobody is perfect, stop looking at people imperfections, and find what they excel in. I have implemented that on my mission, and I feel closer to Christ and my heavenly father. Thank you for everything.
Congrats auntie daisy. If you are having a hard time determining names. You could call him Jared or call her Jaredita. Both sound like fine names to me.

Dear Family, "I have often said that one of the greatest secrets of missionary work is work! If a missionary works, he will get the Spirit; if he gets the Spirit, he will teach by the Spirit; and if he teaches by the Spirit, he will touch the hearts of the people and he will be happy. Work, work, work! There is no satisfactory substitute, especially in missionary work."-Ezra Taft Benson I was finally able to attend the wards that I am serving in. They are both amazing. The leadership in both wards are solid. They are very excited for missionary work. Thse next transfers are going to be fantastic. Love,Elder Resolme

Dear Family,

My new area is great. I know that there will be many who will come unto Christ over these next couple of months. I love my companion. He is great. He came out a couple of months ago and I will train him to become the best senior companion ever. I am very excited for the next couple of months. Big changes will happen. Now that I am getting older as a missionary, responsibilities have grown, and sometimes everything is just overwhelming, but one thing that hit me hard today, was what a missionary said to me. He said," In every situation, ask yourself what would Jesus do." I have heard this all the time, but today it just worked into me. During the Atonement, Christ went through everything. I love him, and am grateful for his example to me. I love my mission, and the opportunity I have to learn more about my Savior and how I can become more like him.

Conference was a blast! I am also grateful for the amazing words that were given to us by the leadership of the church. My invitation to you is to follow the admonition of President Monson. Go to the temple every week. I miss the temple and the work I was able to be apart of. Our family is so blessed to have the temple so close. Work inside, and I know that you will receive the Holy Spirit more powerfully in you lives. If you do not have time, make time. This is a sacred work we are commanded to accomplish in preparation for the second coming.

Love,
Elder Resolme
