Jared's 2nd transfer!

Dear Family,
Last night I got the call to be transferred to Chelmsford. I love Hyde Park, but I need to be somewhere else now. I will have a blast. I will be serving with Elder Santoro (Italy).

Dear Family,
I could have told you this a couple of weeks ago, but looks like you will have to read it all over again. We use the tube all day, everyday!! One of the stations is called Earl's Court. In this station there are these stairs to the exit that seem to go on for an eternity. One day, as my companion and I were walking up these stairs , I saw this old woman with luggage just standing at the bottom. In my head, I could just imagine her having a rough time taking each step, so I went down to help. I asked if she needed help, and then I just took her luggage and started up. She whispered something to me, but I was not really bothered as I was carrying her luggage. At the top, we all spoke for a little, and she told us she was a member of the church. While walking up the stairs, she whispered, "I am a Mormon." She had not been to church for around fifteen years. We got her contact information and then we went to our next appointment.
On Thursday, my companion and I went to get some Filipino food!(We also had some last night) As we were walking around we looked at this Thai food place. One of the people talked to Elder Zarian, and then I got in the mix of things. He was from Thailand and said he was a member. He also had not gone to church for around fifteen years. We finally put some pieces together and realized that he is the husband of the woman we met at Earl's Court! It was the best. Was that a coincidence? Of course not. There have been many of these so called coincidences that have occurred during my mission, but now I understand, that it is all a part of the master plan. We must always be on top of our game, because these "coincidences" happen all the time, We just do not recognize them. As we more fully understand the will of the Father, and feel the spirit more in our lives, we will be able to have a better understanding, but then there are the questions, " How can I understand the will of God, and How can I feel the spirit more.?" Hmm, you tell me.

There have been so many protests in London. It is insane! There are many Embassy's in the area that we street contact. London is busy with all sorts of things nowadays.

Dear Family,

I am going to try and write as much as I can on this thing. I do not have time to write in my journal. Hopefully I will be able to read this in the future.
Last Monday we were able to have a lesson with someone from Thomasz. His name is Thomasz, adn we will be teaching him until he returns home. He is in town for a couple of weeks for his job. I love London because you can meet/teach everyone from almost every country in the world. We also taught a woman from Estonia the other day. She became a new investigator. She is super nice. We met her while OYMING around Abbey Road.
We are still working on finding new investigators to teach. We put a good amount of time walking the streets. It is so fun. I remember when I was so afraid of talking to people my first week in Enfield. Now it has changed. On Saturday, I had a workover with Elder Krebs! He is my hero!!! We were in the same mtc group, and now we are now in the same ward. I had a blast teaching with him. It is insane to believe that we are not new missionaries anymore. We committed an investigator to be baptized and he accepted. These next couple of weeks ae going to be so exciting.
We were also able to find some sweet filipinos. My tagalog/ilocano is not golden, but it is good enough to make someone laugh/get contact information. We found Manag Helena(Pangasenan), and Manang Juanita(Ilocos). We will be seeing them in the next couple of days. Also on Friday, another Filipino called. His name is Emil(Manila). I found him with Elder Sheppard maybe in December. We had a hard time setting a time for us to meet. He called us the other day and said he would be availabe on Monday. We just met with him and shared our purpose as missionaries. He is great! We will work with him so that he will be able to progress. In life, we all have a specific purpose. Many times people find it hard to understand that purpose, but I know that it will come through work. If you really want to "know", work for it.
Tonight we will hopefully be playing basketball at the Chelsea gym. I have all of my things ready for tonight. We will be with a family in the ward+investigators+missionaries. Hopefully I will play nice. No promises. I have not played in 6 Months!!!

Love,
Elder Resolme

Dear family,
Thank you for the package. I got it in the post last week. Here are a couple of pictures. Hopefully I will have some time today to send a letter. Missionary work is a blast. Right now we are putting a good amount of finding hours in to track down some new investigators. There are so many people in London, that we do not track. We just walk for hours on the street talking to people. Both pairs of my shoes broke so I will be buying a new pair today. Thank you for all your support. Work is getting done.

-Something to think about
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO SHARE THE GOSPEL TO EVERYONE?
I know I promised I would, way before I started my mission. Before I was born. We all did.

Love,
Elder Resolme

A scripture that has stood out to me over the past couple of months is in the book of Jeremiah. I remember at the beginning of my mission, I had a hard time understanding the difference from our mission compared to others. Mostly the numbers. I know that every mission is different, but the numbers in England was something I was not expecting at all. through the scriptures, I now have a stronger grasp on what the work is like here in London.
v.16 Behold I will send for many fishers saith the lord, and they shall fish them, and after I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.
The England London Mission consists of hunters. Finding quality. Numbers are not at the top of the list. Scriptures help us understand what life is all about.
