Dear Family,
I am currently reading the Book of Mormon over again. I remember when I used to hate reading!? Now, every spare moment that I have, I am either reading the Book of Mormon, Preach my Gospel, or I am eating something with chicken in it. I still love chicken very much. It is everywhere!
I just finished the first couple chapters where Laman and Lemuel get rebuked by an angel for taking their anger out on their younger brothers. Even though they do get overcome by an angel, they still murmur right after. It is confusing to understand, but looking back on my mission thus far, I can see myself in their position. Although I have been on my mission for only six months (its gone by so fast!!), I have had my good share of miracles. These miracles put me on a spiritual high, but sometimes, I get frustrated with the people we talk to on the street and those we teach because some of the things they say are ignorant.
One of the things that helps me overcome these feelings of anger, is remembering all of the things that I have received from my mission thus far. I am grateful for being in London, and sharing a message I know is true. I am grateful for the knowledge about the gospel that I have attained. I am grateful that I can serve and be physically able to walk around London doing good work. I am grateful to have an umbrella when it starts to rain. I am grateful for the scriptures, family,.......Being grateful is what helps me everyday. Whenenever something in your lives starts to go sour, remember the good times. I promise that as you do, there will always be a smile on your face. It has worked for me so far!
Love,
Elder Resolme
PS. If you have not sent the things yet, could you put in two boxes of teeth whitening strips(one for me and one for my Armenian missionary). Unfortunately, my teeth are starting to get yellow....Thanks.
